I don’t know about you, but I’ve been exercising for a long time. I have my set workouts and routines, but some how along the way, I decided that if I couldn’t exercise for at least an hour, I shouldn’t bother. That meant on days when the schedule is crazy tight, I’m more inclined to skip than to try to fit in something smaller for myself.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Just a little movement is better than none and in the mornings, it’s a great way to get your blood flowing to tackle the day ahead. This is especially good for you when things are so crazy you can’t fit in much other exercise during the day and still want the emotional boost of having done something for yourself.

Here’s a quick workout you can do first thing in the morning to start your day off with a boost of energy …

… and with the knowledge you’re doing something GOOD for your HEALTH!

It can set the tone for your whole day.

This short workout only takes about 5 minutes, which means you can crank it out while you’re waiting for the coffee to brew or even between early morning meetings.

It’s a bodyweight circuit that’ll get your heart rate up and work your muscles, all at the same time. So here it is:

●     10 Squats

●     10 Pushups

●     10 Reverse Lunges on each side

●     Plank from hands, 30-60 seconds

●     Repeat a total of 2-3 times

This workout can be a stand alone when time is super crunched an add-on to your current fitness routine, or it can be a solid starter if you’re coming back after a layoff from your workouts.

Either way, it will put you on track for a healthy day knowing you’ve done something for yourself!
